The Beenleigh State High School library (ELC) is a welcoming, inclusive environment that values the interest and strengths of all members of the school community. Students can come to the library to study independently, read, play games and socialise during break times. Various events (crochet club, chess competitions, manga club) run in the library throughout the year, all students are welcome to come along and join any of these activities, please see student notices for more information or come and see library staff.
OPENING HOURS
Our library is open for students Monday to Friday 8.00am – 3pm including break times during the school term. During weeks 6-10 the library at 2nd break is a study space and open for study and schoolwork only.

The library is a shared space for all, and students are requested to conduct themselves in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the school values -

LIBRARY COLLECTION
- Our library houses a great collection of fiction and non-fiction books including Manga and Graphic Novels, which students can borrow. If you can't find what you are after, please see library staff for assistance.
- Wheelers eBook collection- students can read eBooks or listen to audio books. The app can be downloaded on your iPad or other device for easy access. Library staff are happy to assist you in setting up your devices to use the eBook collection.
- All class set of novels and textbooks are collected and returned through the school library.
If any library book or textbook borrowed by a student is lost or damaged beyond repair, an invoice will be issued for the cost to replace the book.
PRINTING, PHOTOCOPYING AND SCANNING
Full printing, photocopying and scanning services are available in the library.
Students need to use either their school diary or ID card, to release their printing. Please see Library staff for any assistance.
